Accounts and signing in

Creating your account, verifying your email, resetting a forgotten password, and starting your first book.

Reflects YourBook 1.5 · Updated 11 September 2026

You need an account so your story is saved to you and follows you between your phone, tablet and the web. Setting one up takes a minute, and there's no form to fill in about your book afterwards.

Create an account

  1. On the sign-in screen, tap Sign Up.
  2. Enter your name (optional), your email, and a password of at least 6 characters, then tap Create Account. Or use the Google or Apple buttons under "or continue with".
  3. If you signed up with an email address, you'll see a Verify your email screen. Open the email we sent and tap the link. The app won't continue until you do.

If the email never arrives, check your spam folder, then tap Resend verification email.

Enter your email and password, or use the same Google or Apple option you signed up with.

Forgotten your password?

  1. Tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen.
  2. Enter your email address. We'll send you a reset link and show a "Check Your Email" confirmation.
  3. Open the email and follow the link to choose a new password.

Start your first book

A brand-new account sees only the Home tab, with one button: Create Your First Book. Tapping it creates your book, starts your 7-day free trial, and takes you straight into the Story tab where your interviewer says hello.

There is no setup form. The interviewer learns, in conversation, whether the book is about you or someone else, whether it should be written in the first or third person, and what it should be called. It confirms these gently within the first few exchanges. Your book starts as "Untitled book" and is renamed automatically once a natural title emerges.

If you want to change the title, the point of view, or who the book is about later, you can do all of that in Book Settings. See Account and book settings.
